Rambling About Our Week

Ok, it is a good thing I have a year to lose my 20 pounds because Valentine's Day is not helping my diet. There is just something about chocolate that just won't let me say no to it. I'll just have to forbid chocolate from being brought in this house until after I lose my 20 pounds.
I am so proud of the progress being made on our house. We had a leaky spot in our roof that we repaired this week. Little by little we are getting a new house. Did I say I'm excited?!!!!
My children are playing vetenarian this week. My nephew has a puppy that had to go to the Vet. He has to go to school in the day time & work in the evenings so guess who was chosen to be the puppy hospital this week. Yep, you guessed it, those home schoolers that are at home.
We did a study on the care of dogs about 2 years ago. They are putting their education in action now. Which we have puppies, but they are having to actually care for this puppy. He was a sick little fellow Sunday when we received him. He is doing super now.
This darling nephew of mine was so sweet to take my Mom to our Valentine banquet Saturday that the church had due to my Dad having to work. We were so proud of him. He showed up with a box of candy, flowers, & dressed in a tie. My Mom had a fine looking escourt. Our baby has grown in to a fine young man. He graduates this year. My, how time flies.
Hope all of you are having a wonderful week. Happy Home Schooling!

ugh, I share your pain with chocolate. And potato chips, something about the salty. And all other food.......well, I guess I'm in trouble then!! My goal is to lose 20-25 by the end of the year. Guess I'd better get working on that. I haven't done anything yet!! ugh!

How awesome that you were able to take care of the puppies! You have taught your children well. :-)
That's great that you are getting your house down a little at a time. We are doing that, too. It's a long, but worthwhile process, that's for sure. Your nephew sounds like a wonderful young man to take care of his grandmother like that. Very sweet. Have a great rest of your week! Many blessings, Lisa

Beautiful Afghan! As to English... I think with all the reading you guys do, English will follow. Reading is at least half the battle!
