Books Have Found Their Way Back In Our Hands

Finally, today the children and I have found our way back to the books and we have been working on some book work. This past year has just been one of those years where even Mama wasn't even ready to completely stay in the books. Our schooling has been very jumpy, jumping from one thing to another. Instead of a summer plan, we have decided to just jump back in our books and move on in them.
Today has gone pretty good. We began one of our Literature books that we had on our reading list, "A Tale of Two Cities," did a lesson in our Bible book, read from our Library Read Aloud, & worked on our book report on Charles Dickens. Hopefully will get in a game before the day is over for some fun.
Daughter has cut grass today and wanted dear mom to go walking, in the hottest part of the day. She must be very energetic today. Mom is trying to cut portions to lose weight and exercise, but mixing with that hot sun just didn't sound like something I wanted to be a part of today. Maybe another day, early in the morning.
Hope all of you are having a great week.

I keep wanting to go for a walk but the mosquitos are so bad, I'd have to dose myself in spray just to make it out the door without being attacked.

We were supposed to hit the books this week but swim lessons started and we got hit with the stomach flu last night so I think I'll hold off another week.
